Food Security/Sustainability Funding

 Programs and Applications

In this time of a changing climate, Food Security/Sustainability is becoming more and more of an issue globally.  Many government organizations such as the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) are allocating funding to programs to meet the increasing needs of First Nation communities.   These funds have been dedicated for Indigenous communities to undertake the projects necessary to understand and meet their needs.

CIPS Team members can assist communities in sourcing and applying for funds that will permit identified projects to be developed and implemented.
