Community Food Security/Sustainability
Strengths Assessments
Often projects are pursued because the need is there and the funding is available. Unfortunately, important knowledge about the community is missing that could not only ensure that the project is successful but also identify key people, capacity and resources that are already available within the community.
A Strength Assessment helps to identify the key informational pieces required prior to a random project being initiated. This step back, is one that ensures time, effort and money are correctly allocated based n the community needs and not those needs of western science textbook.
Our Team will assist in the development of a Strength Assessment so that a community is prepared for true food sustainability and security.
